Hurricane Flo brought the overflow of rainwater. NC is flood central right now.
However, with all this free time and newly-restored power to my apartment I can resume writing about rainy-day essentials you need: beer.
Legion Brewing has opened up a new brewery and kitchen space in SouthPark and y’all, it’s gorgeous. Huge wooden beer tanks tower up to the ceiling, and all the natural wood brings a lot of warmth into the space. From the kitchen order some savory flatbreads, dry-rub wings, locally-sourced charcuterie to pair with your Juicy Jay or Oaktoberfest. BTW, Juicy Jay is one of their most famous IPA’s, with triple hops action thanks to Mosaic, El Dorado, and Cascade hops. In layman’s terms it’s very piney and refreshing. Oaktoberfest is their fall release (and my personal go-to this time of year) is a amber-hued malty brew that comes from the aging process on “charred American Oak” according to their web site and coversation with the bartenders.
With two stories and tons of space, grab some of your bestest buds and sprawl out on massive wooden picnic tables or in the loft area in front of wide screen TV’s to watch the game. Whatever game suits your fancy. Sports.
I’ll be going back to try out their brunch very soon, so stay tuned for an addition to this article right here!
